Social Bike Tour (direction: West)

On the road again!

After the Social Bike Tour in October last year, we're finally kicking off again in February. Hopefully you've been eagerly awaiting for this moment! 😉

But please pay attention! To make it more accessible and ‘more social' the concept has been significantly changed compared to previous years.

Here are the main changes:

• Every second Saturday of the month I’ll organize a Social Bike Tour.
• The registration fee will decrease by 100%, making it €0!
• A tip is expected upon participation based on your own capacity and appreciation for the organization.
• There will no longer be a maximum group size. The more, the merrier!
• Each tour is unique, offering a new surprising tour every month! Beforehand I will only indicate the direction we will cycle from the center. (N, NW, W, SW, S, SE, E or NE).
• Each tour will cover about 40 kilometers, starting at 10:00 (10AM) and ending around 16:00 (4PM).
• Once we’re gathered as a group, I'll share the (.gpx) route with the participants just before we start. This can be used on your phone, smartwatch, or bike-navigation.
• With the shared route/navigation everyone can ride at their own pace. Although we'll meet up at various checkpoints so we won't lose sight of each other! And of course, feel free to ride along with me if you'd like.
• Since we're riding at our own pace, I'll do less storytelling and focus more on socializing during the ride and at the checkpoints!
• Feel free to bring your own food and drinks.
• Since we'll make at least one stop at a venue for a drink, some food and/or a sanitary stop. It's expected that you'll enjoy at least one refreshment there.

In addition to the Social Bike Tours, Geografiets also organizes other cycling events, such as themed tours, team-building rides, challenging puzzle tours, and educational cycling trips. Daar zijn we weer!

Na de laatste Social Bike Tour van oktober vorig jaar gaan we eindelijk weer van start in februari. Hopelijk waren jullie hier al maanden naar aan het uitkijken! 😉

Maar let op, om het toegankelijker en ‘nog socialer’ te maken is het concept flink gewijzigd ten opzichte van de voorgaande jaren.

Dit zijn de belangrijkste wijzigingen:

• Elke tweede zaterdag van de maand zal er een Social Bike Tour worden georganiseerd.
• De inschrijfkosten zullen met met 100% dalen en wordt hiermee dus €0!
• Bij deelname wordt een fooi verwacht, naar eigen draagkracht en waardering voor de organisatie.
• Er zal geen maximum groepsgrootte meer zijn. Hoe meer zielen, hoe meer vreugd!
• Geen enkele tocht is hetzelfde, elke maand weer een verrassing!
• Elke tocht zal zo’n 40 kilometer zijn, start om 10:00 en eindigt rond 16:00
• Nadat we als groep hebben verzameld zal ik de (.gpx) route vlak voor we starten met de deelnemers delen. Deze kan vervolgens op de telefoon, smartwatch of fietsnavigatie gebruikt worden.
• Met de gedeelde route/navigatie kan iedereen de tocht op eigen tempo afleggen, wel zullen we elkaar telkens weer treffen op tijdens de verschillende tussenstops. We raken elkaar dus niet uit het oog! Uiteraard kun je ervoor kiezen wel achter mij aan te blijven fietsen, gezellig!
• Omdat we op eigen tempo fietsen, zal ik minder aan storytelling doen en focussen we ons juist des te meer op het socialisen tijdens het fietsen en de tussenstops!
• Omdat we minstens één stop maken bij een horecagelegenheid wordt verwacht dat je hier minimaal één consumptie zal nuttigen. Verder kun je natuurlijk eigen eten en drinken meenemen.

Naast de Social Bike Tours richt Geografiets zich ook op het andere fietsevenementen. Zoals thematische tochten, teambuilding-tochten, uitdagende puzzeltochten en educatieve fietstochten.
