Recent shifts politically have created a bit of a crisis in the open data world. We've watched as new federal agency heads threaten to eliminate crucial datasets, post bills to exclude geospatial income and race data, and generally look to squash transparency.

But the open data community doesn't sit idly by and watch – it moves into action. Tonight, we talk to folks who have taken on the task of keeping data free, digging deep into why it is important and preserving it. Join us for this meetup-as-a-call-to-action and rally with the data heroes themselves.
