What we’re about
Laurel Geopolitics Forum is an informal meetup aimed at bringing together people interested in global affairs for an open intellectual discussion on a range of geopolitical issues.
Laurel Geopolitics Forum is dedicated to producing the highest quality scholarship and nonpartisan policy analysis focused on crucial foreign policy around the globe. We educate those who make and influence policy, as well as the public at large, through the lens of history, geography, and culture.
Our goal is to involve experts from various fields such as Economy, Security and Defense, Diplomacy, Foreign Policy and International Development, Investment, Trade, and Geopolitics to contribute towards better policy-making processes and outcomes across the continents.
Protecting human rights, upholding the rule of law, ensuring the free flow of goods, services and people across borders – these are challenging issues.
Government decision-makers, business and civil society leaders, and the media seek out the Laurel Geopolitics Forum for relevant, well-researched policy analysis and creative, practical and thought-provoking policy recommendations.
The Laurel Geopolitics Forum promotes active and effective American global engagement while informing Americans about the important link between prosperity, globalization and security.
Shaping the future. Although the new dispensation offers challenges, it also offers opportunities, as new markets develop and mature. Global governance will, one hopes, become central to a new, inclusive global order. This will happen, however, not by default, but through intellectual rigor, social justice and political courage. In this endeavor, the Laurel Geopolitics Forum will be an active and enthusiastic participant, helping scholars and policymakers discuss, understand, and influence the powerful forces that are shaping the next phase of post-globalization global integration.
This group is an open house to discuss various International Events. Recommend Books and Articles. Students and Practitioners of International Relations are welcome. Even people in any way curious about the world are welcome!
Through its discussion meetings, publications, conferences, policy briefings, and recommendations, Laurel Geopolitics Forum will encourage policymakers, and leaders in government, civil society, and business community to adopt a more restrained and open-minded approach in managing the strategic challenges and geopolitical risks of the 21st century.
