Amid the crisis and the possibility of expansion of war in the Middle East, the Geopolitical Forum proudly presents Eschatology of Abrahamic Religions and Middle Eastern Foreign Policy, by Robert Whitley.
The Middle East is the birthplace of the three Abrahamic Religions and billions of their followers see it as the nexus of the Apocalypse. The speaker, Robert Whitley, will examine how Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have influenced foreign policy and international relations and vice versa. Understanding the interactive relationship between religion and politics is crucial in the interpretation of events in this important region.
SPEAKER: Robert Whitley has been a Geopolitical Forum member since early 2024 and has recently completed, with honor, his B.A. in International Relations & Global Security with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies from American Public University. This talk is based on his research and interest in both international relations and religion. He is a seasoned custom broker that has been working in international trade logistics for the past 27 years.
LOCATION: The name of the condo building is River Plaza, located at 405 N. Wabash. We will meet at unit 4507. River Plaza is located right next to the Trump Tower near the Chicago River. On the first floor of the building, you will see an Italian restaurant, Bongiorno’s. You will need to go through the front desk and sign in with the door staff. In the glass door take one of the elevators on your right. (There are two sets of elevators; you will need to take one of the elevators that go to floors 26 and above.) Take the elevator to the 45th floor and it is the first unit on your right as you get off the elevator. (The door to the unit will be left unlocked so you can walk right in.)
