Marc Lynch, Professor of Political Science and International Affairs and Director of the Project on Middle East Political Science (POMEPS) at George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, will discuss his new book, America’s Middle East: The Ruination of a Region. Lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m.

From the Gulf War to Gaza, the book discusses how and why Washington ensnared itself in the Middle East and situates US policy towards the Middle East in the broader context of its foreign policy towards the region since the end of the Cold War.

This event is hosted by the Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. We from the Geopolitical Forum can continue the conversation and hang out past 1:45, the scheduled end time of the event, perhaps over a coffee.

Please register for free at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/buffett-book-talk-marc-lynch-on-americas-middle-east-tickets-1716373733039?aff=PlanitPurple. Act sooner rather than later, while there are still seats left.

Please also RSVP here to help us find one another at the event.
