Georgetown Area Lesbians Society

Join this group if you are interested in socializing with other lesbians. There are only two requirements for membership: the first is that you must be a lesbian (not straight, not bi); and the second is that you live close enough to be able to drive to events. The majority of events will take place in the Arboretum/Domain area, in Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Leander, Cedar Park and surrounding cities. That said, there will also be many "road trips" to venues in north Austin, central Austin, east Austin, south Austin, or even points south thereof (Buda, Kyle, Driftwood, etc.).

A few administrative comments:There will be no dues. I will personally pay Meetup for internet access (currently $190.80 each June and December). Occasionally I’ll ask for donations via Venmo to cover my costs. Although basic Meetup is free, they will try to get you to upgrade your membership and pay a weekly or yearly fee to see group members or event attendees. You may if you wish, but I wouldn’t pay. Also, be aware that none of that money goes to me.
If you have a girlfriend, partner or wife, please join separately. You are welcome to rsvp +1 for an event, but you should each rsvp on a wait list because Meetup skips over all +1’s on the wait list until all the single rsvp’s get in. I have no control over this so be forewarned.
I love brunch. I love happy hour. I will try to plan as many of these events as I can. That said, I will need other members to step up and host events. I can’t do it alone. Because I want to know and support you, and because I want us all to know each other, you must include a picture of you when you join, not your dog, your cat or a sunset 😊 I won't be able to approve applications that do not comply with this requirement.
This is not a dating site. That said, if you form a friendship that becomes more, good for you!
