GARP Meeting with Dr. Chris Mowry founder: Atlanta Coyote Project

Join us for the Georgia Animal Rights and Protection (GARP) meeting Saturday, September 30, featuring guest speaker: Dr. Chris Mowry, founder of the Atlanta Coyote Project.

About Chris: Dr. Chris Mowry is Associate Professor of Biology at Berry College, just outside of Atlanta, GA, where he teaches courses in Zoology, Ecology, and Conservation Biology. He's the founder of the Atlanta Coyote Project (http://atlantacoyoteproject.org) and has been conducting research on coyotes since 2002. Chris served on the Science Advisory Council of the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center and was one of 13 lead investigators from major colleges and universities across the US that collaborated on the 20 year Canid Ecology Project (CEP) in Yellowstone National Park from 1990 to 2010.

About the Atlanta Coyote Project:
The Atlanta Coyote Project consists of scientists devoted to learning more about coyotes living within the metro Atlanta area of Georgia. The Atlanta Coyote Project strives to be a relevant and credible source of information and to provide strategies for avoiding human-coyote conflict.

At the meeting: Dr. Mowry will discuss the current situation with coyotes in Atlanta and how we can live peacefully along side of them. Armed with science and facts about coyotes, we can be better advocates for them in our neighborhoods and communities.
