To learn more about GA Aquarium’s appalling abuse of wild animals watch the documentary Born To Be Free. The documentary is about GA Aquarium’s attempt to import 18 wild-caught beluga whales from Russia, and includes footage showing the brutality of the wild beluga captures and the horrific fate of the 18 young whales that GA Aquarium paid to have kidnapped from their families in the sea.
Georgia Aquarium’s whale sharks were captured from the coastal seas of Taiwan where GA Aquarium paid fisherman for the captured whales and then hypocritically claims the whale sharks were “rescued” from the seafood market. Fishing and capture of whale sharks have now been banned in Taiwan due to the fact that whale sharks are endangered.
Georgia Aquarium torments its captive victims by holding frequent parties with loud pounding music to make more profit. According to an aquarium employee, as soon as the music starts the beluga whales “go nuts and start attacking the harbor seals in the tanks. When the music starts, they get to fighting.”
Captivity of wild animals for profit and entertainment causes suffering and death. The imprisoned animals need our voice. Please join us on May 10 to EMPTY THE TANKS!
