GNPA Alpharetta Chapter Meeting: What can I do with Photopills?
Details
Title: What can I do with Photocells?
Speaker: Ümit Yüksel
Description:
PhotoPills is a powerful app for smart phones (Android and iOS) to plan and pre-visualize photographs of nature, skies, and cityscapes. Planning includes exploring both the best time and location of events such as wide- and narrow-angle sun rise/sets and moon rises, star trails, the Milky Way, eclipses, and others. Or, if you can photograph any of them when you are going on a pre-determined trip. The app also helps you select a field of view and a fitting lens, among others.
In this introductory demonstration we will first learn the individual functions, called “Pills”. Next, will plan for some of the above mentioned scenarios you are likely to photograph.
Most of this presentation will be live on the app. You are encouraged to bring your smart phone pre-loaded with the PhotoPills app and follow along, no prior experience with the app is necessary.
