Please join me on a cruise to Burney Falls, Crystal Basin Fish Hatchery and possibly Lassen National Park.
We will hotel at the Diamond Mountain Casino in Susanville, 900 Skyline Rd, Susanville, CA 96130, 530 252-1100, Friday and Saturday nights. We have secured a rate of $140 per night plus tax; you may do better with AAA or other senior discounts.
Friday we will cruise up Hwy 49 through Grass Valley and Downieville, then further north through Graeagle and have lunch in Quincey. After lunch we will continue north around Lake Almanor and up to Diamond Mountain Casino in Susanville.:00

Please join me for a 3-nights stay (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) at Bodega Harbor Inn (707) 875-3594. Good idea to make your reservations ASAP and cancel if your social calendar prevents you from attending the run. Ask for George and let him know you are with John Gipson. There will likely be a small group of riders who cannot take Thursday off work and will travel Friday instead. I will try to organize that group and let you know those details as we get closer to September.
More details...Let's meet at Mel's Diner, Folsom before 8:00 a.m. and KSU at 8:30 a.m. We're leaving early Thursday (8:30 a.m. KSU) to arrive at Sax's Joint, Petaluma before the kitchen closes.
We’ll have a couple of Chevron stops (one in Elk Grove, the 2nd in Rio Vista). Our 3rd break/stop at about 11:40 will be at the Stanley Lane Smokehouse in Napa. From there, we make a gas stop in Petaluma just before lunch at Sax’s Joint, about 12:25 p.m. After lunch, its about a 40-minute ride to the Bodega Harbor Inn. We should get to the hotel at about 2:00 p.m.
