The Phoenix German Speakers Group August Meetup

Kommen Sie bitte, und machen Sie Spass. Diese ist nur eine formlose Treffung der deutschen Sprecher von Phoenix. Bei dieser Treffung sind wir im Black Forest Mill. Dieses Mal ist das Dritte in einer Reihe der Treffungen, in der wir die deutschen Restaraunts des Tales besichtigen.

Please come and enjoy. This is an informal meeting for German speakers in the Phoenix area. We will meet for this occasion at the Black Forest Mill. This is a third of a series of meetups touring the German restaurants in the valley.

We will meet in the Bar, and after enough of us have arrived, we can decide whether or not to move into the Restaurant.

Also, in recent meetings, the topic of how much it costs to organize these meetups has come up. Many have been surprise that I have taken on the cost of this myself and the idea of either charging for the meetups or accepting donations to help run the meetups as been discussed. I have said that I do not like the idea of charging for these meetups for two reasons. The first is that I feel it would discourage people from coming. The second reason is that we meet in a business location and charging may not sit well with the establishments owners.

But I do agree to the idea of making donations to help with the cost of these meetups. From this meetup forward, donations will be accepted.
