It is a fun event but don't be disappointed because it doesn't even come close to the German Weihnachtsmarkt. Details about where to meet will follow later.

In 2026, the Denver Christkindlmarkt celebrates its return to Auraria Campus with more holiday magic than ever before! The Market is bringing fresh sparkle to the season with activations such as a 42 ft carousel, and glass ornament making and glass blowing workshops. With twinkling lights and festive cheer, the Market also brings all your favorite vendors for plenty of holiday shopping!

There will be music at 6 PM.

Denver's Thirsty 5 is a 5-piece oom-pah band consisting of 2 clarinets, 1 trumpet, 1 trombone and of course a tuba. They play traditional German polkas, waltzes and marches, as well as holiday and other types of music.

Dates: Nov. 20–Dec. 23, 2026
Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 1–9 p.m.
  • Friday–Sunday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Festival Hall Hours:

  • Open until 10 p.m. (vendors closing at 9 p.m.)

Step into holiday cheer at the Denver Christkindlmarket, an authentic German-style market opening at the Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus**.** With rows of charming wooden vendor huts, you’ll browse handcrafted ornaments and European-inspired gifts, taste traditional German fare and Glühwein (hot spiced wine), and soak in festive sounds and lights that bring the season to life.

## Experience the magic of the Holiday Village

### The Mile High Tree

Dates: Nov. 20–Dec. 31, 2026
Hours: 5–10 p.m.
Stop by the Mile High Tree on the Tivoli Quad at the Auraria Campus to catch its free nightly light and music shows. This 110-foot-tall conical structure is 10 feet higher than the tallest Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in history, contains 60,000 LED lights and can accommodate up to 140 guests under the tree for an immersive viewing experience.

Parking for Denver Christkindlmarket and the Mile High Tree is available on the Auraria Campus:

  • $10 at campus surface lots
  • $15 at the 5th Street and 7th Street garages
  • $30 at the Tivoli Garage
  • Metered parking is also available
