Welcome to the Meetup Group of the German-Canadian Congress in Winnipeg. Are you interested in German culture and/or the German language? Join us to practice your German or participate in German cultural events! We organize a variety of events like
- monthly events with seasonal activities
- a monthly authentic German breakfast featuring foods from local German suppliers
- a film event in fall, featuring a German movie with English subtitles (free of charge)
- a traditional German Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt) in late November/early December with local artists, German imports, entertainment, and more.

Willkommen bei der Meetup-Gruppe des Deutsch-Kanadischen Kongresses in Winnipeg. Interessierst du dich für die deutsche Kultur und/oder die deutsche Sprache? Komme zu uns, um Deutsch zu üben oder an deutschen Kulturveranstaltungen teilzunehmen! Wir bieten eine Vielzahl von Veranstaltungen an:

Christmas Concert: Winnipeg Pops Orchestra & Steinbach Mennonite Handbelles
Fort Garry Place Mall, 30 Fort Street, Winnipeg, MB, CAJoin us for a special Christmas Concert in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the German Christkindlmarkt in Winnipeg. Listen to your favourite Christmas songs played by Winnipeg's second largest symphonic orchestra - The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra. With over 65 instruments, you will be immersed by the full harmonic sound of a big orchestra.
The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra is a community-driven organization that performs popular and classical music. This dedicated group of musicians have a wide range of ages and abilities, and love to perform across Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba.
On Saturday, December 6th, the Winnipeg Pops Orchestra
& Steinbach Mennonite Handbelles will be performing inside Fort Garry Place Mall—at the south end near the elevator, where the space will be cordoned off and set up with seating. It’s the perfect way to start the season surrounded by music, community, and a little festive magic.
