The German-Canadian Congress, in collaboration with the General Consulate Toronto and the Goethe Institute Montreal, cordially invite you to join us for the free screening of Zu weit weg (Too Far Away; Germany, 2019, 92 min.) on the occasion of German Heritage Month on Monday, October 19, at 7 p.m. at 100 Arthur Street (Artspace Building).
Directed by Sarah Winkenstette, Zu weit weg tells the story of Tim who, after moving to a new city, is the outcast at school. A talented striker, Tim joins the soccer team but is outshined by another newcomer: Tariq, a refugee from Syria. Despite all differences, the two boys soon realize they have more in common than they think.
