What we’re about
This group's purpose is to gather at least the minimum of ten people needed to sign-up for (free) online seminars from the German Resistance Memorial Center in Germany. No knowledge of the German language is required. Members should have general knowledge of German history, particularly of the NSDAP (Nazi) Party from its rise in 1920 thru WW2 up to the defeat of Germany in 1945. Optional but useful for context, knowledge of: (1) the political climate in Europe prior to the beginning of WW1 in 1914, (2) WW1 itself to 1918, and (3) the Treaty of Versailles and its effect on Germany.
Once enough people join, at least one in-person meeting will be held at some to-be-determined public location in the Boise area for discussion and selection of a specific seminar topic and a specific start date and time.
We will have at least one post-seminar in-person meeting at some agreed TBD Boise area location for discussion.
The whole process could be repeated for more seminars if there is enough interest.
