Set urban trails for SAR Dogs – Downtown Bozeman

Channel your inner toddler or granny and pretend to "get lost" for Gallatin County Sheriff's Search & Rescue dogs!

Many of our calls for service are for people who have gone missing in our urban/suburban areas – kids who have wandered away from home, elderly folks with dementia, or individuals with cognitive challenges.

At this training, you'll be asked to walk a specific path and wait until the assigned dog is able to track you down. When you're found, you get to give them their reward! If we have enough volunteers, you can also walk along with a working dog to see how things are done on the other end of the leash.
