Poland: Xmas Markets & More in Poland's Eastern Hotspots.

Details
This trip will be confirmed when 8 people sign up.
Return flights to Lublin from £34!
For this year's Xmas adventure we will travel to Eastern Poland and 2 of the most beautiful cities in that country.
Lublin and UNESCO listed Zamosc were powerful cities in the 15th-17th centuries and have a wealth of stunning renaissance architecture to explore. They also have a more recent tragic history and we will visit the sombre sites in both cities.
Just as importantly they are now both thriving in modern Poland and we can enjoy Xmas drinks and treats, great restaurants and buzzing bars.
The Itinerary (subject to change)
Thu 4 Dec
After taxis to the hotel, we can have a walk around the city at night and find some Xmas treats (the markets are not confirmed, but we will surely find some hot wine etc. on the streets). Plenty of great restaurants are here and a thriving nightlife if you want to stay out late.
Fri 5 Dec
After breakfast we can take a casual stroll around town. Sights include the castle, Krakow gate, the cathedral, Market Square and numerous oddities scattered amongst the main sights.
After time for lunch in the centre we can head out to the nearby Lublin concentration camp museum. Much like Auschwitz, it's a sobering place with plenty to take in. Unlike Auschwitz, it's a sight most tourists don't visit and can be explored in the atmosphere it was meant to reflect.
After this we have free time for a rest, visit the castle or other sights of interest.
In the evening we can go for food and drinks in the Old Town.
Sat 6 Dec
Today we will travel to one of Poland's most beautiful towns, Zamosc. After a sobering visit to the Rotunda, which was used as an extermination camp during WW2, we will pass through the immaculately intact defensive walls and visit the stunning Grand Market Square, one of the finest in Europe. Here we can enjoy the festive atmosphere amongst the colourful renaissance houses and majestic Town Hall.
We can have lunch here and continue to the Old Synagogue with a small but fascinating display (and a great café next door) and then explore the other highlights of the city.
Evening back in Lublin to enjoy the cities evening delights.
Sun 7 Dec
Morning flights back after breakfast in the hotel.
