G-O Hike and Share: Beachlands to Maraetai Picnic!

Hey there Get-Outsiders!

If you are free, come to walk and picnic for lunch around Beachlands and Maraetai, starting at 9am. We will meet at the Te Puru Community Centre and then walk from there.

Please bring some lunch to share that can be carried with you and know if there are any common allergens such as nuts, gluten, or shellfish in it.

Please note that Get-Outside continues to be committed to remaining entirely substance (including alcohol and nicotine) free during all our events and post event social get-togethers.

WHAT TO BRING:
Decent shoes, jacket, finger food (to share) and drinks for yourself. Bring a sun hat, sunscreen, any first aid kit necessities AND your passion for the outdoors! It is unlikely we will swim given the temperature of the water.

• Meet Up Time: 8.30am at Cafe Miko or 9.15am at Te Puru Community Centre for a walk and picnic lasting up to 4-6 hours.
• Difficulty Rating: Moderate
• Suitability: Suitable for people with reasonable confidence with balance.
• Completion time: We will have lunch sometime after 12pm. We plan to leave the park around 3pm or so. You are welcome to leave earlier if you need to.

• Toilets: There are public toilets at the start of the hike.

• RSVP to this event: Please only RSVP Yes to this event if you are genuinely intending on coming. If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend please change RSVP to allow other people the chance to attend. Once available spaces are full for the event there is a waiting list option you can join. If you RSVP and don't show up or contact us, it will be treated as a 'No Show'. We don't like 'No Shows' and you may be removed from the Group if you do this.

• Cellphone Coverage: Cell phone coverage is present though may be patchy in places.

• Transport/Car Pooling: If you can offer rides to people or wish to request a ride please mention this under the 'Conversation' section below and contact each other from there.

• Costs: All Get-Outside events are FREE. You are not expected to pay or donate anything unless third party costs are involved (ie other food or transport vendors).
