Rucking is a simple way to get outside, meet people, and get a full body workout. Never done it before? That’s ok! Simply put, it’s walking with weight on your back. You don’t need fancy equipment to get started. Grab a backpack, wrap weight in a towel for cushion, and put it in. Bags of sand, rice, books, bricks, whatever you want! A helpful tip is to start with lower weight, maybe 10-20 pounds. Once you’ve gotten used to the distance and weight you can scale up from there.

Unless it is dangerous to be outside, we will meet every Saturday morning at Big Spring Park at the Eternal Flame. One lap around the park is 1.4 miles so we will start with that and if you feel good then keep going! I’ll be there with a green Osprey backpack. If you want to bring your dog please be sure you also bring poop bags to clean up after them. Bring as much water and snacks as you want and I look forward to seeing everyone there!
