Music in the afternoon

Details
Dove’s Vagaries are on at the cafe this afternoon. I hadn’t heard of them but they’re on YouTube. Their website says: a quirky lively and innovative experiment duo mixing micro ceilidh music ( I guess that means only two musicians) with old songs, music hall songs, general songs, tunes and dance music! They’re obviously an established act but I would challenge anyone to organise a dance in this small venue!
There’s also some open mic opportunity should anyone feel so inclined.
The venue is a coffee shop which also sells alcoholic drinks by day, and at 5.00pm turns into a micro pub with an impressive selection of beers with the coffee machine turned off. It doesn’t do food except for cakes and snacky things but people are welcome to bring in their sandwiches or whatever.
It always a convivial way to spend an afternoon instead of watching the telly or ironing. Free parking in several streets off the main road.
It’s a free event but there is a hat collection for the musicians (a fiver is recommended) and, as it’s a cafe/pub, please buy at least one drink.
