Much Hadam and Perry Green circular ( approx 6 miles )

Who fancies this circular ramble from the very charming village of Much Hadam in Herts via Perry Green and The Henry Moore studios and Gardens?

I've done part of the route before and it's a lovely country walk which includes some woods, open fields and the River Ash which runs parallel to the path on the return leg. With regards to lunch stops etc. You can bring your own grub if you wish. When we arrive back at Much Hadam we can chance a bite to eat and a drink at The Bull pub. I'm not pre-booking anything. If you want to then go ahead but bear in mind you'll have to guess what time we'll be back from the walk. There is also a pub called The Prince of Wales on our route but unfortunately doesn't open til 1pm. This would've been the only toilet stop apart from the Bull in the village.

As an alternative the Bull Pub I can recommend The Catherine Wheel further up the B1004 and over the crossroads at Little Hadam or if you fancy a piece of WW2 history then a drive up to the The Woodman Inn at the former USAAF 398th heavy bombardment group airfield at Nuthampstead. Please check opening / closing times re food etc.

Proper walking footwear is recommended and please insure you bring the usual fluids and energy nibble with you as well. You can park your cars in Much Hadam main road towards the top of the village on the B1004 between Church Lane and Windmill Hill. We'll meet at 1030am for a 1045am start so please give yourself ample time to arrive at the meetup point. The suggested postcode for this is SG10 6DH. There are several driving routes you can take but I usually cross country through Chelmsford via Hatfield Heath and Sawbridgeworth.
