ATHLETIC Meander Hike at Edgewood Preserve

This hike is NOT for beginners. Please do not RSVP unless you can hike at the brisk pace of 18 minutes a mile for 5-6 miles. There will be few stops along the trail to promote a good aerobic workout. NO DOGS ALLOWED

Edgewood Oak Brush Plains nature preserve a/k/a "Edgewood" is a very scenic and visually interesting woodsy venue just north of the Tanger Outlets on Commack Road in Deer Park. It features a 5.5 mile main trail as well as several less lengthy trails. There are very few small rolling hills so the course is mostly flat. We will explore some of those trails to create a hike of 5-6 miles.

Please bring appropriate footwear and food, water and other hiking accessories as needed. Please arrive on time because the hike will start at 10:00 a.m. Seriously.
