MODERATE PACE Meander Hike at Edgewood Preserve

This is a MODERATELY-PACED hike but there will be few stops along the trail to promote a good aerobic workout. "Moderate" means no jogging or speed walking but no slow pokes. NO DOGS ALLOWED.

Edgewood Oak Brush Plains nature preserve a/k/a "Edgewood" is a very scenic and visually interesting woodsy venue just north of the Tanger Outlets on Commack Road in Deer Park. It features a 5.5 mile main trail as well as several less lengthy trails. There are very few small rolling hills so the course is mostly flat. We will explore some of those trails to create a hike of 5-6 miles.

Please bring appropriate footwear and food, water and other hiking accessories as needed. Please arrive on time because the hike will start at 10:30 a.m. Seriously.
