Let's celebrate National Trails Day with a hike on the South Fork Trail in McAdenville. Here's more information from the sponsoring Catawba Lands Conservancy and UTC Aerospace Systems ...

"During the hike, attendees will learn about the ecological and historical significance of the area as they take part in the cleanup effort. Thread Trail staff will provide all necessary tools and will also be on hand to provide direction. The South Fork Trail is a 2-mile, out-and-back trail that meanders through a 95-acre preserve protected by Catawba Lands Conservancy. This area is home to and a number of unique plants including big leaf magnolias and silverbells."
