Jerry's Run Loop

The Jerry's Run loop is in the Ramsey's Draft Wilderness. There are some nice views from the ridgeline, and we will follow some scenic streams for about half the distance. There is also and old cabin site, and an old garage/maintenance shed to explore.

Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous
This hike is 8.3 miles, with about 1,200 feet elevation gain. The terrain isn't particularly rugged, though there are some downed trees, and several stream crossings, so a walking stick/pole might be useful. If you don't have waterproof boots your feet may be wet the last 2 miles.

Location
Carpool will meet at Teel road Park n ride at 9:30. It is about a 60 minute drive to the trailhead. If you want to meet us at the trailhead please let me know in advance.

Please bring:

Hiking boots or sturdy hiking shoes, Water, Lunch, Snacks. Check the forecast and dress properly. Remember it is usually 10 degree cooler in the mountains, and it can get windy. I always tell people to bring more than you think you need. It is better to bring a hat, gloves, and extra sweater or shirt and not need it, than be cold and miserable all day. For winter hiking you need to wear layers. As you hike and your body generates heat, especially on uphills. you will want to be able to shed layers, then re-layer as comfort requires. I usually wear a light jacket, and a couple shirts, depending on forecast.
