PLEASE NOTE - This hike is rated as a moderately Strenuous hike. There no vetting questions to answer for this hike. However, this is not a hike for beginner or novice hikers. We are going to be hiking into the Washington National Forest with some a couple of steep climbs. If the hike leader feels that a hiker is not prepared or equipped for this hike, the hiker will not be allowed on the hike.

Hike Highlights - Humpback Rock, Appalachian Trail, 360 Degree Views from Humpback Rock, Additional Views
Hike Details - This is an old favorite hike up to Humpback Rock. We are going to hike to other vistas along the Appalachian Trail that the crowds don't go to. We are going to make the steep climb up to Humpback Rock and soak in the 360 degree views of Humpback Rock. After soaking in the views, we are going to make the short climb up to the junction with the Appalachian Trail. We will turn right on the Appalachian Trail and hike about 3 miles to more overlooks and vistas. After we arrive at the last vistas, we will retrace our steps and hike some more miles of Appalachian Trail back to the cars. Following the hike, there will be a post hike at one of the local breweries in area.
