PLEASE NOTE - Since this hike is rated as a strenuous hike, all hikers are going to start on the wait list for this hike until I can verify the hiking experience of all hikers on the wait list. Those who have not hiked a strenuous hike with me have 3 days to answer the following vetting questions.

Hike Highlights - Jarman Gap, Appalachian Trail, Moormans River Fire Road, Turk Branch Trail, Turk Gap, Turk Mountain Trail, 270 Degree Views From Turk Mountain
Hike Details - This is a local hike in the South District of Shenandoah National Park. The highlight of this hike is the nearly 270 degree view from the rocky summit of Turk Mountain. We are going to organize an optional carpool from the Rockfish Gap entrance to go to the Jarman Gap Parking Area. We will start the hike at Jarman Gap and proceed down the Moorman's River Fire Road to the Turk Branch Trail. We will turn left on the Turk Branch Trail and climb up to Turk Gap. We will cross Skyline Drive and hike the Appalachian Trail to the Turk Mountain Trail. We will hike the Turk Mountain Trail to the summit of Turk Mountain. After soaking in the views from Turk Mountain, we will retrace our steps to the Appalachian Trail. We will turn right onto the Appalachian Trail and hike the Appalachian Trail back to the cars at Jarman Gap. There will be an optional post hike at a local brewery following the hike.
