SAUNDERS-MONTICELLO TRAIL - 5 plus miles, then a nip

The weather on Wednesday looks good for a brisk hike on the Saunders Monticello Trail! We'll meet at 10 am at the far end of the Dairy Barn parking lot, near the Saunders Monticello Trail entrance. The parking lot is off Route 20 between Route 53 and exits for 64; across from Piedmont Virginia Community College. We will first do the Off Trail Hike and then continue on the Boardwalk to the top. Dogs now ARE allowed on the Boardwalk. Trig and Lily promise to behave (yeah, right). They will be tethered together. Plan to bring or purchase a lunch at the cafe. If it is warm enough, we will sit outdoors at the picnic tables at the cafe. If you haven't visited the bookstore, take a few minutes to stop in. We will take the boardwalk back.
