Details

Event Details - With it being Memorial Day, we are going to walk the Monticello/Saunders Trail to the Monticello Visitors Center. The Monticello/Saunders Trail is a crushed gravel trail that steadily climbs up to the Visitors Center. After reaching the Visitors Center, we will refill the water bottles, use the restroom if needed, and retrace the steps back to the cars at the parking area just off Rt. 20. Following the walk, we will go to the summit of Carter Mountain. There is a tasting room for Bold Rock, the peach soft-serve ice cream (crack ice cream), the gift shop, and the fantastic & stunning vista of Charlottesville, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Shenandoah National Park.

What to Bring - Good walking shoes, Water Bottle, proper clothing for the weather
