MONTICELLO'S WOODED FARM TRAILS - DOGS ON LEASH ARE WELCOME

We will take to the beautiful wooded farm trails, for a total of about three + miles, a great part of it uphill (700 ft elevation gain.) Add a couple of miles if continuing on to the Visitor Center afterward.

We will hike at a leisurely pace. NOTE: if you want a fast paced hike, this is NOT the hike for you.

Bring water and poles.

Parking may be at a premium, but roadside parking is always available. If you are running late, please CALL OR TEXT ME at 540 688 8482 - vs- leaving a comment on the hike page. If you must cancel, please "unRSVP" & remove yourself from the confirmed list.

We will meet at the trail head end of the parking lot, that is located directly off Rt. 20 south, at Dairy Barn Road (across from Piedmont Community College.)

DIRECTIONS: From Charlottesville and I-64, take Rt. 20 south toward Scottsville. Pass through the lights at College Drive, and Hwy. 53. (You will see the parking lot on your left, but you can't make a U turn there.) Continue on Rt. 53 to Willow Drive on your right, turn right and make your U turn there.
