Licking hole Basin Dam easy 4.5 to 5 miles hike in Crozet, VA 22932

This is an easy hike near Claudius Crozet Park that is mostly flat and shady trails. You will be lucky if you get to see blue herons, large Eagle nest on the tree , birds and Box Turtles. Licking hole Creek, is often considered the #1 birding hotspot in Albemarle County. So grab a pair of binoculars.
Date: July 13, Sunday 2025 at 8:30 am. This is an easy 4.5 to 5 mile hike.

What to Bring/Wear: water, snacks, good hiking shoes.
Restrooms available at the park.

Dog Policy: I am happy to have well behaved pups join - must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet.
