White Rock Falls. 4.6 moderate miles

This 4.6 mile loop, which starts at mile marker 18.5 (White Rock Gap parking area) on the Blue Ridge Parkway has a waterfall and small swimming hole. Here is the All-Trails description which notes a 980 foot elevation gain. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/white-rock-falls-loop We will hike counterclockwise, up to Slacks Overlook, cross the Parkway, then down to the falls and then back to our cars. We will meet at 8:00 and head out after introductions.
Notes:

• I am bossy about hydration so please bring water and drink it.
• I limit my weekend mountain hikes to 14 people with no guests.
• The ticks are out so please spray.
• 90% of this hike is in the woods but sunscreen is still key.
• We’ll stop for a quick snack at the falls.
• Leashed dogs are welcome.
