At the same time, those pesky ticks, snakes, and insects will not have gone away just yet. You are going to need to dress for the weather and be prepared for those pesky insects and snakes.

Hike Highlights - Doyles River Overlook, Loft Mountain, Multiple Vista Points, Frazier Discovery Trail, Appalachian Trail

Hike Details - This is an out-and-back hike along the Appalachian Trail from the Doyles River Overlook on Skyline Drive to the Frazier Discovery Trail. We will hike a little over 4 miles to the rock outcrop and a nearly 270-degree viewpoint. Along this stretch of Appalachian Trail, we will have multiple vista points of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After reaching the Frazier Discovery Trail, we will retrace our steps back to the cars at the Doyles River Overlook. Following the hike, there will be an optional post hike at one of the breweries in the Crozet area. Some of the breweries include Blue Mountain Brewery, Pro Rx Nata, and Starr Hill. We can decide during the hike what brewery we will go to.
