PLEASE NOTE - This is a moderately strenuous hike that will take us to the always popular Humpback Rock. This is not a hike for novice hikers as we will start with a steep climb to Humpback Rock. There are no vetting questions for this hike. You need to come to the hike prepared for colder fall weather with cold-weather layers, beanies, and gloves.

Hike Details - This is one of the most popular hikes in the Charlottesville area. We are going to hike steeply up to the 360-degree views of Humpback Rock. After soaking in those incredible views, we are going to hike to the junction with the Appalachian Trail. We are going to hike the Appalachian Trail southbound to 3 other vista points that most people don't go to or don't know about. All 3 vista points include more incredible and amazing views of the fall colors. After the 3rd vista point, we will retrace our steps on the Appalachian Trail through the junction and finish the loop back at the cars. Following the hike, there will be an optional post hike at one of the breweries in the Crozet area. We will have the option of either going to Pro Rx Nata or Blue Mountain Brewery.
