Reeds Gap to Dripping Rock 5 to 6 miles hike on Blue Ridge Parkway

This is a popular trail for backpacking, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.
Reeds Gap is a location along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia where the Appalachian Trail (AT) crosses.
We will meet at Reeds Gap on Blue Ridge Parkway Mile Post 13 Intersecting route 664 Blue Ridge Parkway. We will begin our hike on Appalachian Trail. Sections of this AT has gradual incline and river rocks. We will go to Cedar Cliff over look and walk on AT and finish our hike at Dripping rock.
Julie will have her truck at the Dripping Rock to shuttle people to the Reeds Gap parking lot.
What to Bring/Wear: water/snacks, good hiking shoes and hiking poles.
