Easy Hike, followed with coffee

This will be an easy hike, partially paved and partially trail, with very minimal elevation change. We'll meet at the parking area for the Dogwood Memorial/JW Parkway in front of the rescue squad off McIntire Rd. From there we'll take the paved John Warner trail, using the crosswalks in multiple areas. Alternating between the JW trail and the Rivanna trail, we'll wind our way around to do a loop and come back up through McIntire Park before coming back to the parking area. From there you have the choice to continue the morning with just a short walk over to Cville Coffee across the road to have coffee, tea, or pastries/lunch and a chat.
Overall the hike will be roughly 4 miles.

If the forecast looks poor I'll reschedule for the next Friday I have available.

Wear good athletic shoes and weather appropriate clothing, and bring trekking poles for hiking portions if you prefer to use them. If it's been really rainy in the days prior I may alter our route to avoid parts of the trail.
