Walnut Creek Park over 5miles Scenic Fall Hike: Moderate

This hike is at the 525-acre scenic and peaceful Walnut Creek Park in the southern section of Albemarle County.
Wilkins way loop trail starts at the boat parking lot of walnut creek park
include a well-maintained, with nice lake views. Challenges include muddy spots and elevation changes to 595 feet. The path winds through a shaded forest and follows along the shores of Walnut Creek, offering beautiful water views. There will be two water crossings and some rocky sections. Some areas trail are very narrow, and some sections can be rocky. Watch out for roots and stumps.

What to Bring/Wear: water, snacks, layered clothing, good hiking shoes and hiking poles.

Dog Policy: You are welcome to bring well behaved pups join - must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet.
