Hiking near Wintergreen, then Oktoberfest

Hike near Wintergreen, approximately 4 miles. Meet at Shamokin Springs Nature Preserve (very limited parking; it's across from 1423 Blue Ridge DRIVE). We will take the nature loop trail to the old Appalachian Trail, cross the road and continue on old AT and return to parking. Then proceed to the Mountain Inn and meet at rear entrance for food and festivities (purchase food etc from vendors).

Followed by Wintergreen Resort OKTOBERFEST from 12 noon-11 pm (optional) If anyone else will wear German attire, I'll bring mine.
Reminder: NO DRINKING AND DRIVING
