The SAUNDERS-MONTICELLO TRAIL - 4.5 miles (In and Out): Hike

The Saunders -Monticello Trail is really a beautiful trail as it winds to approximately 4.5 miles. The trail has a maximum grade of 5% and transitions from pavement to crushed gravel to wooden boardwalk as it meanders through the wooded areas adjacent to Michie Tavern and Carter Mountain Orchard.
We'll meet at 10:30 AM at the far end of the Dairy Barn parking lot, near the Saunders Monticello Trail entrance. The parking lot is off of Route 20 between Route 53 and exits for 64; across from Piedmont Virginia Community College.
Weather: If plans change due to weather I'll update in the comments section.
Please pack your lunch and water to enjoy at the visitor center.
Dog Policy: I am happy to have well behaved pups join - must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet.
