Humpback Picnic Area to Humpback Rocks -7 miles 2300 elevation
Happy Birthday Dennis

Join me on a not-too-strenuous hike followed by raising a glass at Blue Mountain Brewery, in honor of Dennis's Birthday.
We'll meet at the very back of the Humpback Picnic Area MP 8.5 .
It's a short trip to meet the AT north, which we'll follow to the Humpback Rocks trail.
We'll pass great views of Wintergreen along the way. Parts of the trail are rocky and steep, so not-too-strenous doesn't mean not-at-all strenous.
After enjoying the fantastic views west from the rocks, we'll retrace back to the parking area.
We'll head to BMB for refreshments.
This was one of Dennis's favorite hikes, and it will, hopefully, bring back very fond memories of his love for the outdoors and his hiking friends.

Reminders-- this event is taken at your own risk. I, nor GOPC, are responsible for your safety. Although we always do our best to look out for each other!

One very good friend is bringing her dog, and I am familiar with her and her dog. I do not encourage bringing other dogs on this hike.

As always, wear layers, wear good hiking boots ( it is rocky !) and hiking poles are highly recommended. Bring lunch to have "on the rocks" and plenty of water. There are no water crossing on this hike.
