Boar's Head to Round Top 6 moderate+ miles. 1,000 feet of gain
Details
Let's start the New Year off with a hike. This is a new hike that I recenlty scoped with Deb Lambert-Dean. The Boar's Head Heritage Trail offers views of the old Garth/Bramham family cemetery, Birdwood Golf Course, two ponds and then heads up to Round Top with 1,000 feet of steady elevation gain. We'll do this as a lollipop which will give us about 6 miles. For those interested in gathering after the hike we will head down the road to Selvedge Brewing. https://www.selvedgebrewing.com/
Notes:
*I am a hydrater and it makes me happy when others are as well.
*Leashed dogs are welcome.
*If you use poles, you will be happy to have them on the way up to Round Top.
*I'll cancel if it is raining or the trails are icy.
*Please change your RSVP to Not Going if you can not attend.
We will meet at the lake end of the parking lot at Wellington Drive. Introductions usually take about 5 minutes. See directions below.
DIRECTIONS: Turn in at the main entrance to the Boars Head resort from Rte. 250 (Ednam Drive). Go left on Boar’s Head Point Rd. which is just before the Inn. After a short distance, turn right just before Wellington Drive into the parking lot. Meet at the end of the parking lot closest to the lake.
