Ski/Hike Seven Springs and Laurel Mountain (PA) #2

Seven Springs Mountain Resort is an all-season resort located in the borough of Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. It has a relatively high elevation for a Pennsylvania ski area, at 3,001 feet (915 m) above sea level. Activities include biking, canopy touring, ziplining, sporting clays, fishing, hiking and golfing in the summer and skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing in the winter. The ski season at Seven Springs typically begins on the day after Thanksgiving and continues to mid-April, weather permitting. Seven Springs hosts events such as the adventure race Mud on the Mountain, Brewski Fest, Fireworks and Food Trucks, Rib and Wing Festival, Wine Festival, Autumnfest and Pond Skim.
In 2021, Seven Springs became part of Vail Resorts.

Laurel Mountain Ski Resort is a ski resort located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States within Laurel Mountain State Park. It is owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania but operated under lease by Vail Resorts. The resort has 20 trails and 2 lifts with a 761 feet (232 m) vertical drop.

8 am - Travel to Laurel Mountain Ski Resort.
1 pm - Ski Laurel Mountain Ski Resort (374 Summit Ski Rd, Boswell. Meet at the ticket window.
5 pm - Check-in for hotel lodging.
6 pm - Dinner at Pine Grill (800 N Center Ave, Somerset).
Wed (2/18)
8:30 am - Hike Pump House Loop Trail (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/pennsylvania/pump-house-trail-loop). Grid coordinates 40.00589, -79.23242 for Copper Kettle Trail: Old Mill Trailhead. This is where Pump House Loop Trail begins.
12:30 pm - Ski Seven Springs (777 Water Wheel Dr, Champion). Meet at the ticket window.
6 pm - Dinner at Rey Azteca (780 N Center Ave, Somerset).
Thu (2/19)
9 am - Hike Kooser State Park Loop Trail (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/pennsylvania/kooser-state-park-loop-trail). Trailhead is located at 943 Glades Pike, Somerset. Grid coordinates 40.06003, -79.22952.
12 pm - Option to ski Seven Springs or Hidden Vallley.
6 pm - Dinner at Ruby Tuesday (1019 N Center Ave, Somerset).

9 am - Travel home.
