AT - Big Run Loop ~ 7 miles ~1750 elevation gain

Join us for a hike that is a bit shorter than what we usually do but still has a good climb and some nice views from the overlooks.
We will start this hike from Browns Gap heading north on the AT. We will turn left on the Big Run Loop Trail until we reach a 4-way intersection where we will turn right to continue on the Big Run Loop Trail. We will descend the trail, crossing the water before we ascend back up to the Big Run overlook on Skyline Dr. We will do a short walk on Skyline to and through Doyles River parking to the AT, where we will turn right and follow the AT south through Doyles River overlook, across Skyline Dr and back to Browns Gap.

Weather: If inclement weather necessitates canceling or postponing the hike, the decision will be made no later than 7:00AM - cancellations will be posted on the hike comments section. Steady rain with not much chance of clearing and/or dangerous conditions will call for postponing the hike.
RSVP: If you find that you are NOT going to be able to attend the hike, please update your RSVP to “No” as soon as possible. This allows those on the waitlist to have the opportunity to attend.
