HIGHLAND RUSTIC TRAILS – 2.3 MILES EASY

Join us for a walk through the property of James Monroe’s Highland, the home of our fifth president. We will follow the trail alongside the big meadow and through shady pine forests. And we will explore the tree library where the young native trees are labeled.

Meet by the map reader board between the parking lot and the gift shop. Introductions usually take about 5 minutes; if you are running late, walk fast and join us.
Bring water. Restrooms are adjacent to the gift shop, which sells a nice variety of beverages and snacks.
