Join us for a 2 days and 2 nights of camping and hiking at Big Meadows Campground in
Shenandoah Park. Big Meadows is a reservation-only campground.

Shenandoah National Park entrance require an entrance fee of $ 30.00. The entrance is free if you have an annual or life time senior pass "America The Beautiful" or anything similar. Please confirm with the Park to ensure that the pass works for you.

May 13th (Wednesday)
Arrive early afternoon to set up camp
Afternoon hike on Lewis Mountain Falls Loop (next to campground). 2.7 mile hike
with 950 ft elevation gain

Return to your campsite for supper
Evening campfire and socializing at Site D167
After dark, walk 1/2 mile to cross Skyline Drive for stargazing

May 14th (Thursday)

After breakfast, full day hike to Rose River and Dark Hollow Falls (also near
the campground). 6.1 mile hike with 1510 ft elevation gain
Plan on for a slow-paced hike with a lunch break
Bring snacks, a lunch, enough water, and any other hiking gear you need
Return to your campsite for supper
Evening campfire and socializing at Site D167

May 15th (Friday)
Wake up
Have breakfast
Pack up and say goodbye!
MUSTS!!!
You must reserve your own campsite

You must have your own camping equipment. NO CAMPING GEAR WILL BE
PROVIDED. You should have enough food and water for your needs.
