Join me for a walk through Sugar Hollow, a 5 mile hike that offers six water crossings of the shallow, clear Moorman’s River. I hear that, at the moment, the streams are crossable without submerging your boots. Let’s go see. Bring water and your poles if you have them.

Dog Policy: I am happy to have well behaved pups join - must be on a leash and please pick up after your pet.
The elevation change to 462 ft. is not much, but the trail is interesting and rocky in parts.

DIRECTIONS:
Google map worked by setting the directions for "Sugar Hollow Dam and Reservoir; Sugar Hollow Road, Crozet, VA 22932".
You will pass a dam on your left. Keep on going towards the end of slow and bumpy Sugar Hollow Road, you will be on a gravel road for about 0.5 miles. Sugar Hollow Road ends at the parking lot for the hike. We will meet at this location.
If the small parking lot is full then just park on the roadside. Plan for extra travel time. There’s room for maybe two dozen cars on a gravel surface.
FYI: Sometimes the cellular signal does not work.

CANCELLATION:
If plans change due to weather I'll update in the comments section.

RSVP: If you find you’re not going to be able to attend, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” as soon as possible. This allows those on the waitlist to have the opportunity to attend.
