Blackrock Summit Via Brown's Gap - 5 moderate miles
Details
Black Rock Summit has amazing views. Our hike will start at the Browns Gap parking area (mile post 83 in Shenandoah National Park). This is an out and back which will take us about 2 1/2 hours. From the parking area, we will hike south on the Appalachian Trail until we reach Skyline Drive. We will cross Skyline Drive and follow the trial up to Black Rock Summit. We will stop for a quick snack, finsh the Summit loop and head back to Brown's Gap. Here is the All Trails description. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/black-rock-summit-via-browns-gap
