Dress up (or come as yourself) for a Halloween hike. Those who dare will get a homemade Halloween-themed treat.
This will be an out and back. We'll take the AT south from Brown's Gap until we reach Blackrock Summit, where if we're lucky it'll be foggy, making the rocks extra spooky. What's lurking in all that talus? (Certainly some cool spiders.)

Difficulty: This is a moderate hike, on the easier side of moderate -5 miles with a roughly 650 foot elevation gain and some scrambling in the middle (if you choose to do so).

What to Bring/Wear: water, snacks/lunch, layered clothing and/or your best costume, good hiking shoes, trekking poles

Weather: If thunder/lightning decides to rain on our parade I will have to cancel. If plans change due to weather I'll update in the comments section.

Dog Policy: I am happy to have your pups join, and more importantly, the park does allow dogs (leashed) on this trail.

RSVP: If you find you’re not going to be able to attend, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” as soon as possible. This allows those on the waitlist to have the opportunity to attend and prepare in time.
