14-mile bike ride – then lunch

Let’s ride the Virigina Blue Ridge Railway River trail at a moderate pace. https://www.virginia.org/listing/virginia-blue-ridge-railway-trail-nelson-county/6319/ This beautiful 7 mile (one way) crushed gravel trail runs along the Piney and Tye Rivers in Nelson County. We will meet at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 7th in the Piney River trail head parking lot on route 151. We'll ride to the end of the trail, stop for a drink of water and a quick snack, then ride back to the parking lot.
For those interested in lunch after the ride, we will stop at nearby Saunders Brothers Farm Market (2717 Tye Brook Hwy, Piney River, VA 22964) for a sandwich. https://www.saundersbrothersfarmmarket.com/ Their apples are delicious if you want to take some home.
A few notes:
· Please wear a bicycle helmet.
· Water is always important.
· No guests on the weekends.
· If you can’t join us, please change your RSVP to not attending.
· If you want to cycle faster than the group, go for it.
