Three Falls Hike ~9.3 miles /~2,500 ft elev gain

This hike is going to take us to three of the most beautiful waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park.

Hike Description - This hike is going to start from just outside the Big Meadows Campground at the Picnic Area. We are going to take the short spur trail to the Appalachian Trial and turn left on the Appalachian Trail. After a short distance, we will turn right and descend down to the first waterfall, the Lewis Spring Falls. After visiting this waterfall, we will continue on the Lewis Falls Trail and make our way up to the Appalachian Trail. We will turn left on the Appalachian Trail passing the spur trail near our starting point. We will continue to Fishers Gap at Skyline Drive. We will cross Skyline Drive descend down the Rose River Falls Trail to the second waterfall. We will continue on the Rose River Falls to the Dark Hollow Falls Trail. We will steadily climb the Dark Hollow Falls Trail up to the Dark Hollow Falls. After enjoying these wonderful falls, we will continue up to Skyline Drive. We will cross Skyline Drive and make our way back to the Picnic Area using the Story of the Forest Trail and through the Big Meadows Campground.

There will be an optional tailgate rehydration at the end of the hike in the parking lot. Bring a chair, snack, and beverage at your discretion.
